PM thanks members of Din Daeng community for cooperation

BANGKOK, 9 May 2016 (NNT) – The prime minister has expressed his appreciation to residents of Din Daeng flats for allowing the government to renovate their community.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said the government is keen to improve the well-being of residents of Din Daeng flats. He thanked all residents supporting the government’s project to renovate the landscape as well as the residential area. The renovation project under which old buildings will be knocked down and replaced by high-rise condominiums is now underway.

Despite the fact that most of Din Daeng community members have agreed with the implementation, there remain a small number of people who disapprove the project. The prime minister therefore asked all dissenters to exercise patience while assuring that once the project is completed, their living standards will surely be improved.

This will work if a) rents don't rise, and B) unscrupulous developers who have traditionally avoided this 'slum' area don't start moving in and pushing up prices.

I too welcome the government to renovate my properties and landscapping at no cost.

But somehow I may not be high enough in the political food chain to get such assistance.

So it begs the question on how Prayut became so keen to assist the Ding Dong Community.

Smells like something's dead under the floorboards in here.
