CDC unworried about possible disruptions during training of volunteers

BANGKOK, 10 May 2016 (NNT) - The Constitution Drafting Commission isn't worried about disruptions that could occur during the training of volunteers, who will help explain the draft charter and the referendum question to voters.

CDC spokesman Chatchai Na Chiang Mai said on Monday that the training of volunteers on May 18 and 19 will be for both those who represent each province and those who serve respective districts.

Mr. Chatchai said that those who are among each province’s five volunteers will receive a briefing on key points of the draft charter on the morning of May 18, before they learn about the referendum question in the afternoon.

He added that the volunteers who are to work at the district level will get the same training after that.

The CDC spokesman went on to say that the charter drafters will do the follow-up to make sure all the volunteers always have the help they may need to make sure that there's never any inaccuracy in the information they will share with the people.

On the possibility of disruption during the training, Mr. Chatchai said that he is not concerned as security officers will be on hand to handle the situation although a session may delayed if any demonstration turns violent.

"Mr. Chatchai said that those who are among each province’s five volunteers......."

Five volunteer per province to "educate" the population before the referendum allegedly on 7th August? Wow, they must be hard workers....coffee1.gif

And they're obviously highly trained and can answer any question the public may have!

Ok everybody, listen up. We've got a Charter with 250 sections, and 4 hours to train you on it.

We have prepared a comprehensive training video, and we will now play it for you at 10 times normal speed.

You may now place the aluminum receiving units on your heads.

"Possible disruption and violent". He got to be kidding. Is he trying to gain sympathy by making things up? People are hauled up for just acknowledging on facebook, standing around, eating sandwich, reading books and other innocuous actions that has no physicality or direct confrontation with the draft constitution. Who would dare disrupt a charter training session less creating violence. This guy is exaggerating by a million miles. .
