Farangaffairs

Yes, Farang Affairs was written by Phil McDonald (I think). I received an e-mail from him about a year ago after his two full page weekly pieces (other: On The Tiles) had been axed by The Nation I think; he mentioned that he was suing them for unfair dismissal.

Again it appeared to be another case of Thais pushing foreigners out.

Changing the subject - has anyone got any views on The Nation's editor Tulsit. Personally I don't like his style of writing and sometimes wonder what side he's on!

The Nation has really gone downhill recently. I once thought it was great the way it constantly stood up to Thaksin, but nowadays it's like reading a vacuum.

So far they've managed to fill this void with their website anonymous poll results being a reflection of popular opinion, pictures of Thaksin moping around London and a crappy flash add which leaves a large grey rectangle when viewing with Firefox (email notifying them about this last weekend unresponded to so far).

Whatever Phil is doing now, there's not much doubt it's in a better place...
