From Monday 16 May, VFS are opening a second Visa Application Centre, the second centre is located in Chiang Mai.

For applicants who wish to hand in the hard copy of their application and supporting documents as well as have their biometric details in Chiang Mai rather than Bangkok, there is a supplementary fee of US$83.

No more trips to BK just to do the biometrics

Nothing about local Brits being able to submit their passport renewal applications and subsequently collect their replacement passports there, it would appear. So 2 trips to Bangkok as required by the dreaded With-It Tower Passport Renewal Experience are presumably still the strict order of the day?

This place isn't very easy to find. The street view link is above - it looks like a Condo build with no signage I could find plus the entrance is around the back.
