Clean Toilet Campaign underway in Sumut Prakan’s floating market

SAMUT PRAKAN, 16 May 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Tourism and the Department of Health have co-launched a Clean Toilet campaign in Samut Prakan Province.

The campaign got underway at Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. Deputy director-general of the Department of Tourism Anan Wongbenjarat and chief of Tambon Bang Namphueng Administrative Organization, Samnao Rasmitat jointly presided over the opening ceremony.

The Department of Tourism and the Department of Health started the campaign in response to a comment of Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha. The premier asked different bodies to place importance on the cleanliness of toilets and other facilities at tourist attractions to improve the country’s image.

The organizers chose to launch the campaign at Bang Namphueng Floating Market, since Bang Namphueng Community is well-known for a wide range of activities for visitors such as a tour to fruit orchards and homestay services.

Once the tourists see clean toilets at Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, it will be impossible to keep the tourists from flocking to Thailand. Soon tourists will forget about such petty inconveniences as being beaten by gangs of hoodlums, being raped and murdered, being ripped off by tour companies, or being massacred on the Thai highways. All they will remember is the clean toilets they saw at this single tourist attraction. This is a stroke of genius!! Soon Thailand will be claiming the title of Clean Toilet Hub of Asia.

They have to have an opening ceremony just to clean the freaking toilets in Thailand, how ridiculous.

Hope they aren't using Chinese advisors. Then they would also have to launch a Clean Sidewalk campaign too.

Only in Thailand would there be an opening ceremony for clean toilets.

If people improved their toilet habits there would never be a need for a clean toilet campaign.

This sounds like a job for Mr Happy Toilet, Chalerm Jr.

What ever happened to him?

Hub of floating markets, they even have one on the 4th floor at central Rama 2 ! consists of a boat in a tank covered in black plastic inside the convention hall surrounded by the usual market stuff

In the world of government spin, everything seems possible, including press releases that toilets will be cleaned. coffee1.gif
