More companies to reduce carbon emissions

TGO Director Prasertsuk Chamornmarn revealed that many companies have begun to promote their environmental conservation efforts to the public. TGO was first established in 2007 and has since been trying to lower greenhouse gases through various projects.

TGO also bestows a carbon reduction label to any company that has successfully reduced their carbon emissions by at least 2%. This year, carbon reduction labels have been granted to another 115 products and another 10 companies.

Misleading. Again. That should read Carbon Dioxide, CO2, that colourless, odourless, tasteless, non polluting inert gas that is essential to life on the planet. Not 'Carbon'.

But they are never going to let up are they. They want to conjure up images in your mind of tiny, evil, dirty, black gritty particles that are choking the planet. Like this one.

Too bad Volkswagon doesn't maunufacture here. All the Thais would need to do is get VW to produce the instruments and computers to measure the emissions. That would work.

Well, it may be a bit inaccurate, but not for that reason. Reducing carbon emissions would include methane, a much more powerful greenhouse gas.

But actually the TGO is concerned with greenhouse gases in general, which include, for example, N2O

Volkswagen deliberately set out to lie, cheat and commit fraud. But so far, other than the company and it's shareholders suffering, no one has really been held responsible. How many senior people were involved, took the decision or were fully aware of the decision to commit crime for profit?
