NRSA approves proposal on educational law reform

BANGKOK, 18 May 2016 (NNT) – The National Reform Steering Assembly has approved a proposal on the reform of education law.

At its sitting on Tuesday, the NRSA deliberated the education law reform proposal and a draft amendment of the National Education Act, which were presented by the committee on the reform of education.

Committee Chairman Wiwat Salyakamthorn explained to the sitting that the proposed reform and draft amendment are intended to ensure the continuous development of education, with guarantees of quality and standards, at all levels.

In doing so, the committee has adjusted the existing law to better suit current social circumstances and to proceed in line with the national reform process while focusing on actual learning experience in classrooms and adjusting some definitions and some of the 83 articles of the law.

The NRSA then voted 157 to one, with one abstention to approve both proposals

"...the committee has adjusted the existing law to better suit current social circumstances and to proceed in line with the national reform process.."

Anyone have an idea just what sort of "adjustments" and how this will be in line with "national reform process"? Sounds a bit ominous to me. Even paranoids can have real enemies.

Was the public involved at all, in creation of this "Act", and associated "laws"?

(Silly question.)

The NNT deluxe cheeseburger:

Special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun.

All talk, no walk.

Scary stuff. As if the "education" system didn't brain wash people enough already.
