How Do You Renew A Non Im B Visa Without A Job

Featured Replies

Hi to all

I am new to the forum but need some advice desperatley quick. 3 days to be precice.

I entered thailand on a single entry non im B visa walking into a job. My employers never applyed for my work permit and i have now lost my job. i have extended my visa by one week at imigration but only have a few days left. Not even thinking this may happen, i really dont know the best way to extend my time here. I would like another 3 months as my girlfriend is a teacher here.

Do i need to apply for a new visa at a thai embassy in penang or vientiane as i have no work and is only single entry, or can i cross the the border and re-enter filling out a tourist visa form and paying a re-entry fee.

I would sure like as much help and different possibilities put my way.

Thank you for reading

You can go to Penang or Vientiane and get a 3 months tourist visa.

Yuo can go to border and get 30 days.

You can go home :o

You have two options.

You can go down to Penang or K.L. and get a single entry 90 day tourist visa, probably need to

remain overnight and return next day.

Cheap flights on Air Asia, Nok Air etc.

Or you can do a trip to Poipet on the Cambodian border and return after an hour with

a single entry 30 day stamp. You can do the same for two more months but

three times is the limit.

Google for companies in BKK who do "Cambodia Visa Run". Normally leave early mornings

in shared minivan with other visarunners

and return in the early evening. Total cost about Bt 2,000.

By the way, you omited to say exactly where you are in Thailand

Please note that the Tourist Visa only gives you 60 days , but can be extended for a further 30 days at any immigration office in Thailand for a fee of 1,900 Baht.
