  • You cannot combine income and cash in the bank.
  • You need a minimum income of 40K pm OR 400K in a Thai bank for two months prior to the application date.

Is the 38k baht income you mentioned gross or net after taxes and etc. You can use gross income for the extension application.

38k is after tax. Do i show immigration my pay slip with years total or bank account? I have had money come from australia into my thai account, does that count for anythint?

You can use your pre tax income amount. You will need to show tax payments and/or you annual income tax return which would show your gross income for the year.

You can use income from abroad to reach the 40k baht number. You would need to do a statutory declaration to prove your income from Australia. They do not ask for any proof when you do it but you should have it available if immigration wants to see it which could be your bank book showing the funds coming into the country.

Clause 2.18 of the police order allows for a average income for the year.

"(6) In the case of marriage to a Thai woman, the alien husband must earn an average annual income of no less than Baht 40,000 per month"
