Hotels without steps.. mobility problem

Hi all

My other post in the Suvarnabhumi Airport Forum “Slightly disabled with walking stick” explains my problem with mobility. I was wondering if other travelers with mobility problems have favorite hotels in Pattaya, because those hotels are set up for people who find steps a problem.

Wheel chairs can slip up those steep ramps, that hotels have out front for the bellhops to push up the trolleys full of luggage, but too steep for me to climb unless they have a handrail. I don't use a wheelchair as I am still able to walk with a walking stick.

The main problem is usually the entrance to the lobby as they all seem to have steps up from the footpath and no handrail.

Any info on hotels anywhere in Pattaya would be grateful.

Indeed not easy to find.

Due to the regular floodings in Pattaya most places are built above street level and have steps.

Three examples that come to my mind from the quite newly built hotels in Soi 10 (Beach rd.).

Click on the links to see the entrances.

Very flat ramps or one step.

Hi KhunBENQ

Thanks for those hotels they are what i am looking for, also newly built I see. Yeah your right about

flooding and also some of the soi's slope down towards the beach which gives them an uneven entry.

Hi gk10002000

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check there web site etc, ramps are OK for me

if they have a handrail. Some times the ramps are a bit steep to climb and especially if there has

been some drinking burp.gif going on.

Hi Jui-Jitsu

Thanks for that thumbsup.gif, looked at their site, nice but a bit more than I want to pay,

sorry I didn't give a price range in first post expecting to pay around +/- 1000 bht night.
