Bicycling routes around Ban Amphur?

Featured Replies

Coupla friends of mine have moved into a village at Ban Amphur, an area with which I'm not too familiar, and they're wondering about any known good routes for casual bike riding. They aren't avid enthusiasts but are quite fit. Anybody happen to know of any? Tnx.

Yes, they have set up new bike lanes around the Wat Yan lake. The whole area is great for bike riding.

From Ban Amphur there are many good rides

If they are casual bikers and upto say 45 k is ok then

Down Suk towards Sattahip turn left at the 332 ride about 10 k and look for the signs to Plutualong golf course

The scenery is brilliant and there isn't any big hills ride around the lake and the course and then back the way you came, about 40 k and some of the best panoramas in the area

Another one is to ride the opposite route until you get to the traffic lights at Hui hai road, turn right and upto the temple, any of the sois on that road that lead off to the right are flat, nice an quiet and run more or less parrallel

with Suk in a Southerly direction so you can ride as far or as little as you wish and the turn right back onto Suk and complete a circular

The routes are endless all depends on individual fitness etc

My friends got around to doing the Plutualong golf course route and absolutely loved it. Thank you!
