Officials in Aranyaprathet confiscate 2 million Baht's worth of pirated goods

SA KAEO, 25 May 2016 (NNT) - Officials in Aranyaprathet District of Sa Kaeo Province have confiscated pirated goods worth over 2 million Baht.


Col Poramathorn Bunnak, Commander of the 12th Ranger Task Force along with Pol Col Seksan Wattanapong, Commissioner of the Klong Luek Police Bureau and Sathit Phuhongcharoen, head of the Aranyaprathet customs office coordinated in deploying a joint task force at Rong Krua Market after receiving information that pirated goods had been brought in from Cambodia.

The confiscated goods consisted of sports apparel and shoes with a total value of 2 million Baht. Investigations revealed that the site where the goods were confiscated was rented by Cambodian nationals.

Yeah, like they just found out about this?

Wheel out the big guns for a PR/photo op.

2 million Baht, so that will be 2 or 3 stalls at the market.

And most shocking of all, they were rented by Cambodians, who would have thought.

Dont worry they are on a train to Chatuchak market its only wednesday should be there for the weekend

I have some more information for them;

"receiving information that pirated goods had been brought in from Cambodia".

If they go back there today they will find more pirated good have been brought in and that some of them are for sale in Thai owned stalls.

Furthermore if they visit my local night market tonight, they will find a wide range of "branded" goods which are sold at a far cheaper price than would be expected, suggesting they could possibly be fake.
