This is bs people, propaganda. Spent months in Cambo, never felt threatened. You have a greater chance of getting sucker punched and robbed in Toronto than anywhere in Cambo. Sure, tourism is down there, cost of living rising, so granted there may be more desperate people than usual. But Buddhism (and common respect) baked into the Cambodian culture prevents most from attacking strangers.
