EU acknowledges Thailand's efforts to solve IUU fishing

BANGKOK, 25 May 2016 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan expressed his belief that the European Union is aware of the government’s determination to solve illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

According to the Deputy Premier, the EU has not upgraded country's ranking on the IUU list, as there are still several pending issues. However, the regional bloc is well aware of the Thai government's efforts to suppress IUU fishing. EU officials will visit Thailand to conduct another assessment in July.

Meanwhile, Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Gen Chatchai Sarikulya said that no issues related to yellow or red cards were brought up when the Thai delegation visited the EU last week. He reiterated that the regional bloc did not put pressure on Thailand, but provides advice and cooperation to the Kingdom.

It seems that the opposite is true, that europe is fed up with this country's lack of determination to deal with the fishing problem. Europe was far from happy with Thailand because this government seems to believe it can bull*shit its way out of trouble by lying etc but obviously those foreigners are not so stupid, so those promised sanctions are getting ever closer.

Thailand is running out of time, and all those little lies are not being believed anymore.

Expressed "his belief". Why not ask the EU if it is aware of the government's determination instead of projecting his own deluded beliefs upon the Union.

Not the Thai way. Why tell the truth when you can lie if you know there will always be some muppets who choose to believe you? Ignore the ones who disbelieve you, they're not 'good people'.

He won't ask a question that he already knows he will not like the answer to.

So, just make something up instead, the general public will believe him of course, because they have been educated to.

Do you know any governments that don't lie and bullshit their way out of problems?

Seems that they've all got so arrogant they don't care about being bare faced anymore.
