PTT suspends project for extending use of temporary land gas pipeline system

BANGKOK, 30 May 2016 (NNT) - PTT Public Company Limited has asked the contractor of the land gas pipeline system to suspend work after a fire broke out.

Mr. Nopphadol Pinsupa, the Deputy Managing Director for Natural Gas Business Division of PTT Public Company Limited disclosed on a fire incident, stating that the TRC Construction Public Company Limited’s crane–equipped truck had caught fire. The fire incident resulted in the death of the driver and one injury on Highway 311, Sriracha district, Chon Buri.

TRC Construction Public Company Limited is the contractor of the PTT’s project - whose contract was extended for the use of temporary land gas pipeline system.

PTT has asked the contractor to suspend all operations at the scene to make way for an investigation and reconsider the safety standards.
