Where to find pen refills in Pattaya

I have a nice Pilot ball point pen. In Bangkok, they sell the refills in Isetan.

Where might I find this obscure product in Pattaya? I guess I would be looking for a high quality department store (does such a thing exist in Pattaya or is everything aimed at the Russian shopping tourist market) or a pen specialist.

p.s. I tried the Pilot pens (Thailand) website but needless to say the "contact us" link does not work. (Does any Thai-incorporated entity have a functioning website other than a Facebook page?)

I buy pen refills on ebay but admit just use cheap Energel pens these days.

Yup, I 'discovered' it some time last year when I was searching these hallowed pages for a source of ink cartridges and somone recommended I try there. They had the ones I wanted and now there's a Master NL, it is a veritable emporium of stuff for school projects and the like.

I checked out the suggested places in Pattaya today. No dice. It seems Pilot (a Japanese firm) has something of a reduced presence in Thailand compared to a few years ago. It may well be focussing on marker pens only here.

Short of making the trek to the Japanese dept. stores in Bangkok, I will continue my search on the internet.

I will update this thread if I make any progress.

The pen is rather old. The model names will have changed but the refills may still fit. I am hesitant to order online as the refills may not fit the pen. The description on the side of the old refill doesn't seem to match anything on ebay. If I can find it in a shop, I can try it in the pen and then buy if it fits.

Sometimes I am very logical. My job demands it. But sometimes I just do things to see if I can successfully achieve them and often I learn new things on the journey. For example, I now know of the existence of the arts and crafts supplies store on Pattaya Klang that I must have gone past a thousand times. I now have also learnt that Pilot have scaled back or perhaps exited the ballpoint pen market in Thailand.

Some people climb Mount Everest whilst I seek out old pen refills. It is the thrill of the [pointless] challenge.

Back to the pen, I am still a fair way from giving up on this one. Updates will be forthcoming.

I am guilty of a similar, some may say obsessive insistence on using only my preferred writing instruments. Up until a few years ago, I was a 'Zebra' man as their products were widely available in the US where I was living at the time. I found Pilot brand to be a very suitable replacement to most of my prior preferences.

I also learned from this thread that Pilot Frixion refills are available on Lazada which now obviates the need to be on my UK shopping lists.

With a youngster i had almost revelled on teaching her to create good, neat cursive writing and was socker-punched recently to read several University Professors had stated it simply it would be superfuous, better to use a keyboard effectively or speak clearly for the microchips to handle.

I will help her anyway but without the Quink (plus assocaited stained fingers) which i and no doubt you guys used.

Don't know what a Pilot pen refill looks like but in Friendship, upstairs right beside the cashiers, they have a number of different refills at very low prices. I tried my luck with a 12/13baht offering that looked like a Parker refill and it works just fine in a genuine Parker pen.

Yep, spot on again Sixpack...Silpaban Office Supply...038-589-90. The best office supply, stationary, and arts and crafts store in Pattaya. If you can't find it there, you'll have to go to Bangkok or order it online somewhere. They have lots of household/office odds and ends for use around the house...fun to just poke around in there. (Yes, I've lived in Pattaya too long...even the ladyboys are beginning to bore me. I rather look at pens )

I've never seen Mont Blanc Pens for sale in Pattaya, I've got mine before when I was in Tokyo. I'm in Tokyo now @ Joe, I'll price one up for you if you like, Yen is strong at the moment though, I'll be back in Pattaya quite soon, I've got a spare Black refill still in the box in Pattaya as well come to think of it, genuine article for a Meisterstuck.

Don't make a special trip, but if you happen to see one in Japan, I'd be curious about the yen price for a genuine Meisterstruck refill.
