CDC expects door-to-door visits to commence on June 20

BANGKOK, 6 June 2016 (NNT) – The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) expects the upcoming door-to-door visits to start later this month or after all volunteers have completed their training.

Dr. Amorn Wanichwiwatana, CDC spokesperson, said the CDC isn't worried about its mission to inform the public of the meaning of the draft constitution, hoping that the nationwide trips will proceed without obstacle.

The spokesperson believes that all volunteers will be able to explain the details of the draft charter to the public clearly and precisely while expecting the visits to commence on June 20th which is when all volunteers will have finished their training.

He went on to say that the CDC is not concerned about political movements, saying he is confident that security units will be able to ensure peace and order in all areas.

Will they explain the "merits" if the draft charter? :)

Will these "volunteers" be wearing uniforms and making it clear how people should vote?

Why worry? The public is sure to love any policy the government proposes...like having their emails, facebook and line monitored. I'm sure there will be massive support.

Do you think they are not monitored in the west?

What sort of a country runs a door to door campaign to explain amendments to a constitution , ,this could be construed as to intimidate ,and what sort of a welcome are these volunteers going to get at some of these households, are they guarantee protection, and how many households are their in Thailand that are going to be visited, and the big question , are they going to knock on former PM Yinglucks front door.........................................coffee1.gif

My mistake. I thought that was the acronym for center for disease control. coffee1.gif

Going door-to-door.

Is that like the American Trick or Treat?

How long are they allowing for each household?

Hope they are good with dogs!

Lets get out the calculator.

40 million voters. 15 minutes each for "in depth" understanding. Team of 5,000 "trained explainers".

Click....Click...Click.

250 days.

Hehehe.

I can see a bit of a similarity. We all know what the disease is. I guess you could call this an attempt at mass hypnosis.

This is a thread about Thailand on Thai Visa Forum. What you're trying to say is that two wrongs make a right. Typical fanboy answer.

Gee, when can I expect a visit at my condo? looking forward to that!

Classic attempted diversion. Not subtle, not successful, but classic deceitful discussion.

Love to know the outcome of the "door to door salesmen" thing.

Will these "volunteers" be wearing uniforms and making it clear how people should vote?

In order the public are not mislead by impostors spreading false information YES the volunteers will be in uniform and will arrive in APCs

We also strongly insist you treat the canvassers with the utmost respect, agree with all they say and when you are adamant you will vote YES be sure you do.

No need for us to say OR ELSE because you must know that already.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Remind me to lock my gate.

Seems like pretty good advice. They'll be told to report back.
