BANGKOK: -- A former guide in Phuket was arrested yesterday when narcotic suppression police found a large number of meths were found hidden in his pickup truck.

According to commissioner of the Narcotics Suppressionn Bureau Pol Lt Gen Rewat Klinkesorn, the guide Surin Massayasikirin, 42, a resident of Wieng Haeng district of Chiang Mai was a former guide in Phuket.

He was arrested at a gas station on a bypass road in Sukhothai province after narcotics police traced him from Wieng Haeng in Chiang Mai.

Police searched his pickup truck and found a special chamber underneath the truck body where 163 plastic packs were discovered.

Inside the packs are 325,000 meths.

He admitted that he was hired by a drug dealer in Myanmar border for 300,000 baht to drive the pickup truck to another man at the gas station who would drive further to Bangkok’s Ratchada area.

Inside the packs are 325,000 meths.

1. Inside the "packs" were a lot more, or 2. A lot less are inside the "packs" now. Most of it will go to places like Ko Phanghan anyway.

And not long they'll burn something that looks very similar. Great job !!! thumbsup.gif

P.S. No tip off? C'Mon...........facepalm.gif
