Hello, I kinda need some advice here.

I'm a Malaysian and my wife (actually gf) and my Thai son was taken by my wife to Thailand. Her physical passport and my son's Passport is still with me now. She and my son was able to go back to Thailand WITHOUT her passport. I know there are illegal border crossings from Malaysia, my question is, is she able to make a new passport in Thailand?

She has no exit stamp from Malaysia and no entry stamp to Thailand. Is immigration able to check it and hopefully won't catch her if she report her passport "lost" and make a new one?

For what purpose would she need/use the passport?

Fleeing to where?

Or other question: why would she apply for a new passport?

Maybe she has reported the loss of passport in Malaysia and left with some emergency travel document.

Entering Thailand is always possible with her ID card.

If she has reported the passport lost she would also be able to apply for a new one.

Why did she leave without the passports?

Was somebody holding them to try and prevent her leaving?

Seems she had enough smarts to know she could cross back to Thailand on her I'D card.

Wife/girlfriend? Strange post. Try turning up in LOS. That'll give you a rough idea where you stand on the immigration front.

If you're not a troll, I would watch your back.

Why did she leave you again?

Thanks for the reply guys. I was wondering if she could make a new passport in BKK. Her passport and my son's is in my office in Malaysia

Why don't you post the passports to her.

That will save your partner having to apply for new ones.

Of course she can apply for new passports, why do you think not?

She could also report that you stole the originals.
