Old Croc
Interesting to compare Thaivisa with another so-called rival forum. Their worth is only $2,800!
Tywais
Interesting, the domain I have setup for our laboratory is worth $124,920.00! My commercial website name is worth $34,626.00 Wonder how I can cash in. Entering www.thaivisa comes up with $305,100.00 , don't let George know. Soju
Don't put too much faith in those values. I put in a commercial site that I'm associated with and which is turning a tidy profit, but the value of it came up as $0.00. I then tried various test by just typing in total jibberish (just randomly pounding on the keyboard) and each one came up as $20.00. Nonsense if you ask me. PeaceBlondie
It does sound like nonsense. One time, I got over $600,000 for ThaiVisa.com (I had to edit out direct URL linkages; you can do it manually) ....Maybe I'll ask George to pay for my Diet Coke next time... Jared
hmm my two websites are worth $30 and $19. Does anyone know how you actually go about buying your domain name and if it is worth it?
Barney_the_Dinosaur
Six years ago a website like this would have been worth $ 150 million on a NASDAQ flotation.

MikeWill
And as a matter of fact, I don't think it's a marketing gimmick. Think not, check this out. Microsoft.com > $4,335.00 No surprise here, at least to me. As King Dong mentioned, msn.com is at $22,185,604.00, google.com - $21,656,670.00, firefox.com - $4,085,900.00, etc. One can agree or disagree with the actual value of that or other site, but the trend is rather clear and consistent. don't let George know. George would probably agree with me. You may ask though, what dollars are used in the value appraisal. guardian
Seems the quotes are not fixed for a particular website. Initially, it was showing 40+ million for sex.com, then a new search came down to 23+ million. Domain Name Appraised: xxxxxxxxx.com It has been determined based on search results that this name may be extensively valuable beyond the scope of the LeapFish.com domain analysis tool. It is recommended that you seek the services of a complete domain appraisal company rather than rely on this estimate. yahoo.com $46,918,286.00 gay.com $45,949,566.00 hotmail.com $40,859,325.00 sex.com $23,011,879.00 msn.com $22,185,604.00 google.com $21,656,670.
