In light of the recent events in the USA, gun control seems poised for another debate. I was curious what people from other nations considered reasonable gun control? If you are unfamiliar with the policies in the USA, keep in mind that there are as many unregistered (illegal) guns as there are legal weapons. An individual must pass a background check for a criminal history before he/she can purchase from an authorized dealer. No such checks are required when purchasing from a private individual. Semi-automatic weapons are available with the same restrictions as a handgun. If the fellow is 18 years and older, that just about sums up the requirements in most states.

How do other countries address this issue, and are the policies effective, in your opinion?

all gun owners have their arms confiscated and replaced by this standard issue model, youll probably find after a year or so the numbers decline rapidly judging by the mentality of many Thai users
