At this point, Meechai's work is done. He has no choice, so as to preserve face and an air of superiority, but to essentially discount any criticism or rejection of his handiwork. His attitude is simply a reflection of the prevailing cultural attitude, of "Teflon Thailand".

Besides, the support or rejection of this referendum is hardly worthy of argument. The ultimate outcome is preconceived and assured.

In your opinion. I notice that you don't wish to talk about the ACTUAL functions of a senate though. why is that?

I did, I talked about the actual function of the senate as envisioned by the draft constitution.

If the actual function was only to measure laws against the constitution, then why does the draft give the senate much more actual political powers ?

I know the answer to that question, you should be smart enough to know it too, good luck trying to ignore that reality.
