PATTAYA: -- At 11pm on the night of June 22 Banglamung Police announced the arrest of four major drug dealers in Pattaya who were operating across Chon Buri.

The four are Natporn Somboonsit (31), Kritrit Kaewsrikul (28), Choocheep Chaisiri (31) and Ms Yuwadcee In-Udom (31). They were in possession of 6071 Ya ba tablets, 188 grams of Ice, 134 Ecstasy pills, 29 bottles of Ketamine, a .38 Colt handgun, a .22 rifle with ammunition, 4 mobile phones and 2 cars. Together the haul is estimated to be worth around 1.5 million Baht.

The operation began when police received new information about Natporn Somboonsit, who was known to be previously involved in drug crime across Chon Buri Province. The information included details of a drug delivery taking place in the Ban Rong Pho Community and so officers moved in to make an arrest. A significant drug haul was impounded.

How long thai-visa members will cheer this police behavior in Thailand, before it is common knowledge, that the War on drugs is lost worldwide?

Probably the same length of time that we would cheer "thai-visa members" such as yourself who obviously support an abolishment on police intervention in the illegal drug trade.

Personally myself Id rather see them fight a so called "lost" battle rather than doing nothing at all and let them run rampant on the streets even more than they are today.

Dude really?

Yes, sure, but why is drug trade illegal in Thailand? What is the goal? Why some people are running rampant on the streets? The war on terror produces more terror, The war on drugs produces more drugs and users. Everybody, stop the hate speaking, stop this wars, start with education and the development of a new society.

Absolute rubbish. No, the war on drugs does NOT produce more drugs and users. It may not be as successful in stamping out drug use as it should be or could be, and it may have other unintended consequences, but how FPS does it actually produce MORE drugs and drug users?

There's always a trickle of drug-trade apologia here on TV, and it's always nonsense, lame, and pathetic.
