Where did my weather money, news, etc..go to?,

I'm not using my notebook often and when i switched it on I can't access the weather and other stuff.

I don't have the time to do some Google research and was wondering if that could be a setting only?

Did anybody experience something similar on Windows 10 Pro? Thanks for any ideas.

Some of my gadgets are not usable. It only affects the weather, news, money,etc..

All other important stuff is working well. I can still see them, but there's a little circle and a 1 or so in the lower right corner.

Haven't seen that before.

Windows 10?

That's a notification. Click on it to expand.

Windows 10 Pro. It's not a notification, some gadgets are just not usable. How should I "expand" them? facepalm.gif Nothing happens when i click on them.

What happens when you click on the "circle with a 1"?

Or Right-Click even.

Not a lot. This application can't open.

.Contact your System Administrator about repairing, or reinstalling it.

Right clicking doesn't help me solving the problem....

I'm running powershell sfc/scannow and will see

You've been farting about with it again, haven't you?

Do a System Restore.

I've tried one last night, but wasn't successful. Undone the same and will try after school today. If not I'll Reset the B...h

Doing some research, I'm not the only one with similar problems and some solutions are questionable.

Every single problem you've had you've caused yourself, don't fib.

I swear that i didn't do any W 10 experiments this time. But I've learned a lot by doing some "experimental stuff." facepalm.gif

I think learning by doing is the best method to understand how things work.

It just started after not using the notebook for a while and all was working well before. I can only think of a program that let my gadgets die?

A system restore doesn't fix the problem, better said I can't go back to a time where the problem didn't exist.

I'l take the thingy to school tomorrow and will "Reset the damn thingy". The joke is that all the other machines I'm always working with are doing fine.

I'm still trying some restore options, but only 20 more minutes. Sad is that I've got four other machines backed up with Macrium, but not my notebook.

Dude, school closed today because it's flooded. cheesy.gif So I had time for my babe and you were damn right with a System restore.

But the ordinary one when you go to system and do a restore no way. I had to go to Advanced Startup, then look for the right

Restore Point and it freaking works. I had no idea that such a System Restore seems to be the "real one."

Thanks, for the tip. I own you a beer. coffee1.gif

I think I know a little bit about the topic and had a similar problem before. The System Restores by using the Restart version is usually the one that works well.

But I'd never spent too much time with one PC and go to Reset This PC. I do have all programs on an external drive and I do such a Reset, including all the programs in about 2.5. hours.

But then it's a fresh install as I never leave files on it. Why wasting so much time?
