Don't judge a book by its cover: "Bachelor" turns out to be quite a catch after TV show comments go viral!

BANGKOK: - A man who appeared on a Thai dating show Saturday ran the gauntlet of comments about his clothes and his manner. One prim and proper female contestant even shocked viewers by using rude language about the guy.

"He's nothing but a b****hit merchant" she said as other women took him apart on the "Take Me Out Thailand" show, going on about his bad choice of polo shirt and cocksure manner, reported Kapook.

But they were soon eating their collective words when the guy was revealed as a teacher of motor racing drivers who is a pilot in his spare time.

The guy known as "Na Man" appeared before thirty women on the show. Twenty seven lights went off immediately rejecting him outright. "He looks too bold" said one "Too cocksure of himself" said another "Just "torlae" (b****hit merchant) piped up a third.

Another even said: "I want a boyfriend - not his dad".

The edition of the show - described on entertainment sites as "high drama" - caused a storm of comment on social media. Most posters were in agreement that far too many people in Thailand judge a book by its cover and it served the girls right that they missed a great catch.

One who kept her light on - a 26 year old graduate student called Fit - still had a go at the guy complaining about his boring clothes and self confident manner. After taking a lot of online criticism following the show she spoke up on Facebook saying everyone was entitled to their opinion and the show was just a bit of fun and should not be taken too seriously. She apologized to Na Man.

Posting on the "Thai Racing" site on Facebook he reacted gallantly saying that he agreed that anyone could give their opinion as they liked, he didn't mind.

Some commenters online took the show rather seriously. One called Buk Haa said: "Our society is b****hit. These girls just look at the outside. What do they want - a gangster in a nice suit?"

Another man Narong Neng Sae Lim said: "She called him a b****hitter. I have never seen this show. Take it off the air.

"It is as good as the sole of my foot", he added, using one of the worst insults possible in the Thai language.

While a female called Waraporn Palada weighed in: "Who would use language like that? They thought they were so beautiful those girls. Yeh right!"

Wait till these girls see me!! w00t.gif

Is the main pic one of the girls?

What did I just read and why did I read it?

I thought it was gonna be revealed it was a tom.

I would watch that show if it was a 65 year old fat farang and a mix of bar girls. Then mix it up on other shows with a few younger and older farangs. Add to that a few HiSo girls to throw up on stage.... The winning girl gets an all bar fine paid trip to Pattaya with her new man including free lady drinks and all she can smoke. Now that would be something to watch.

Why does this make any difference? Does that make him some kind of super catch?

They mention he is wealthy and a close friend of the Bhirombakhdi family (Singha beer) so most of them suddenly changed their opinion.

They want fair skin fools....

I have never had anything but glorious comments about me and my appearance and clothing, could be that I am an American and I have the "secret" weapon! that is the budge in my left rear pocket~! all they ever call me is come here handsome man! but being modest I pass the uglies and only try out the pretties after a check to make sure that they are a she not a he! such is life in thailand!

Not my idea of entertainment, and I've never seeh the show. And if the girls are that much of a catch, what are they doing on a show like this, anyway? Potential baby snatchers, perhaps, given one said: "I want a boyfriend - not his dad"'.

and then this: "...and it served the girls right that they missed a great catch." facepalm.gif

I also fail to see where the "quite a catch" comes in: The guy could be a total <deleted> OR is being beaten/cheated on by a successful guy somehow "worth it". blink.png

You also posted on it.

some "money buzzwords" in thailand include piano. why, because a real piano is well out of the reach of average people and generally reserved to the wealthy.

theres no lack of hiso girls that are uninteresting, no hobbies or interests, limited knowledge, limited or no lateral thinking, image over substance, etc etc.

but if you got to put up with all of that anyway at least no need to finance her and the extended family; amen

What did I just read and why did I read it?

I got as far as your comment!!

Is it finished yet, what, oh, yeah i'll have another, what, porky pies, yeah i'll have some.

Only if he owns his own planes and racing cars and tracks. Best if several of those planes are Boeing and Airbus.

I'm assuming the starred out word is bullshit?

so much for taking people for who they are not what they dress like, typical female thais, think their sh*t dont stink when they are not that good themselves, cant turn a sows ear into a silk purse which if what most of these ladies think they are. If you have to dress to impress it usually means you are absolutely full of sh*t and lack any intelligence, dress for comfort in what you feel good in, most of these women are fake anyway and looking for a personal teller machine, he is probably lucky he saw them for what they are and that he didnt have to go out with any of them.

Think the make-up artist needs some pointers from a ladyboy.Oh and I spotted at least one failed nosejob! neus.gif

Brings new meaning to the phrase nip-tuk-tuk. smile.png

You beat me to the same thought. I thought I had missed something and actually read it again, but concluded with a hope that the women on the show were not representative of Thai women generally.

It is pretty obvious that stud muffin with the fake blondy hair has more going for himself than the female contestants. They said his shirt was boring and his posture way to confident. Sadly, they fear they could not keep up with him, and they were right. None of those women are in his league.

Seems Thailand is getting westernized faster than I thought.
