I was 18, my father said go to college or get out of the house. I went into the Navy. I had nothing, absolutely nothing, but the $480 per month the Navy paid me. I decided I didn’t want to be poor and worked myself out of that world. Nobody handed me anything. Actually, I’ve had to take steps backwards to move forward in life. I agree, there are two worlds. But, one can make decisions in their life to not stay on the same rung of life’s ladder. I will say, it truly depends on where you’re from, I’m not foolish enough to believe that everyone around the world would be able to have the choices I’ve had. Everyone gets dealt their own hand of cards and it’s up to them to make the best of it. However, it could be their hand is from UNO, and they received all the Draw 4s.
