ALRO is bracing to reclaim Sor Por Kor land from illegal owners



BANGKOK: -- The Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO) is make preparations to reclaim the Sor Por Kor land from illegal owners or occupants now that the National Council for Peace and Order has recently issued 13 directives to solve the problem of illegal occupation of the Sor Por Kor land.

Under the NCPO order, three groups of Sor Por Kor land occupation are targeted to be reclaimed. These include land plots exceeding 500 rai each which have not been incorporated into the land reform scheme; Sor Por Kor land plots of over 100 rai each which are occupied by people other than the farmers who were granted the land for agriculture; and land plots of over 500 rai each which were ordered to be returned to ALRO by the court.

The targeted land is scattered in 25 provinces covering altogether 430,000 rai of land.

After seven days of the public display of ALRO announcement regarded the targeted areas to be reclaimed, people who occupy more than 500 rai of land are required to present their land rights documents to officials concerned within 15 days failing that ALRO will be empowered to dismantle buildings on the land within 30 days after there is an order by ALRO.

For those who bought the Sor Por Kor land of over 100 rai from farmers, ALRO officials are empowered to order the land buyers of more than 500 rai to produce documents or to be questioned about the land in question.

Not many Sor Kor Por lots of land on Phuket over 500 rai. So i guess that those Sor Por Kor presents which Suthep made on Phuket to his hi-so friends will be retained by them.
