Carib
http://www.home-affairs.gov.za/index.php/countries-exempt-from-sa-visas Here it says that Thai passport holder are allowed a visa free term up to 30 days, which is confirmed on this site http://www.visasouthafrica.org/visa/who-requires-a-visa/ and here too http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/exempt-countries Scroll down to the 30 day section. Stupi
Mt Thai girlfriend, now wife has travelled with me to SA on many occasions. If you are travelling separately, she will need proof of adequate funds to support herself during her stay. Also she should have: A letter from you saying that you will be responsible for all her expenses during the holiday A copy of all hotel bookings, showing her name Pity that you are not travelling together would make entry more simple. Enjoy your holiday
wernerfreitag
I did it with my wife twice ,no problems, passport must be ( as usual ) valid for more then 6 month and have at least 3 free pages . They did sent people back trying to use a fully stamped passport.
popsie
Yes They have visa exempt status upto 30days. If you want to extend that I would highly recommend doing the paperwork before departure rather than applying after you have entered South Africa. David in the north
Things may have changed - I took my Thai wife to South Africa in 2007 & a 30 visa was granted on arrival. No problems at all. Just to be sure - you can check with SA embassy website or contact them.
