Stabbing Outside Best Friends Beer Bar on Beach Road

PATTAYA: -- At 2.30am, on the morning of July 26, Pattaya police received reports of a stabbing on Beach Road.

Sawangboriboon medics had also received the reports and were already on the scene. Crowds of onlookers were shaken up and some were in a state of shock. Medics performed emergency first aid to twenty-five-year-old Mr Manas Promkanha (aka Phi To), who had head injuries and knife wounds. He was patched up and taken to hospital.

Police discovered two kitchen knives laying nearby which were collected as evidence.

Can someone point me out 'the worst enemy beer bar'......I'm drinking there!

Well at 0230 am, heavily tattooed dude, drunk/high people and then arguing with the teenagers so not really surprising, sadly.

Not many "normal" people walk around on the beach after 2400 hours, my family certainly don't.

I've seen them on the streets of Bangkok so why not pattaya?.......pattaya is more cowboy than bangkok in the red light districts...

something tells me it's more a fend for yourself in Pattaya as the 'backhanders' being exchanged are swept under the carpet....

Oh, but it's always been out of control. FOB are we? In 1997:

Pattaya is being inundated with rude obnoxious thugs who do not care about the city or its visitors. They do not listen to the community leaders, and the police do not have the budget or manpower to control them. They are driving away the tourists and the income and jobs that they bring. Inevitably, this rabble will win as they reduce everyone to their level of poverty.

Meanwhile, tourism to Cambodia is increasing by 50% every six months...

And please stop calling them "sheriff." Gives entirely the wrong impression. "Boss" or "don" is appropriate.

And while I avoid Pattaya. Thialand without the little 'kwaam sanuk' left over by the 'Happiness' happy happytalk like Some South Pacific retro musical would be grim indeed.

If a few Sangsom sodden Somchai's get stitches then thats acceptable collateral for this old dawg.

Yes time for new sheriff .... But this incident had nothing to do with nighttime entertainment: It started with lowlife local males on bayside of Beach rd and ended by chance

in front of a bar that looks to be closed. So what should a new sheriff be doing ?

Out of control.......really ?!?! I see more violent behaviour in the neighbouring town back home (Pop : 25.000) on a saturday night then I do during a 4 week visit in Pattaya .

People should stop being irrational because of a headline
