petermik Posted July 30, 2016 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Germany believed if they marked Sir Bobby out of the game by putting Beckenbauer on him they would win..................ooh no they didn,t. as a 17 year old apprentice at the time it was delightful to go into work and tell the "old doubting codgers" who believed England had no chance of winning after the miserable first round draw against Uruguay.....I told you so.
