Volunteer Traffic Warden Oversteps His Authority

PATTAYA:-- A five minute clip posted to Facebook yesterday has revealed how a volunteer traffic controller threatens a female doughnut vendor in the Night Plaza Market, Pattaya Junction.

He loudly, and aggressively claims that his is the only doughnut stall allowed in this area and hers must move away. He tells her the rule is that similar products are not allowed to be displayed closely together.

The person who posted the clip says that doughnut-boy is not a police officer. ‘He is just a volunteer traffic man who acts like he owns the market because he wears a uniform. He won’t allow anybody else to sell doughnuts even if they are a couple of hundred meters away.’

And the problem with this is that most Thais crawl over the floor if they are confronted by someone in uniform, even if it is the postman.

Actually, it appears it is a tandem attack by the wannabe DH and the Wannabe's pink squeeze.. The seller does it well.. in your face but polite, but is standing up quite well. More power to her..  more of the like of her  would be appreciated.....  Drive on.. and the wannabe DH should not double park as well.. 5555

I guess the only effective way to stem out corruption in this country is, sadly, through social media. Social media leads to public outrage and condemnation. Now we just need a strong enforcer to get these bad elements out of the society!

haha yeah right: "It's not allowed to have similar businesses too close to each other."

Luckily his missus doesn't have a massage-parlor, beauty-salon, beer-bar, 7/11 or whatever 13-in-a-dozen enterprise.

She should learn to deal with competition in a creative way and not letting some "strong arm" take care.

it happened on the public street, so why is the face of the wannabee_a_police_volunteer blurred?
