August 3, 201610 yr Hi Guys, I am permitted to stay until the 8th August on my last 90 day re-entry from non-b annual visa and the company I work for still haven't received an accounting document required to complete the renewal application. Assuming a scenario where the document still isn't received this week, am I able to extend my current visa in these circumstances - even for a short period of time? Note that my visa expired on the 11th May. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
August 3, 201610 yr The only extension you could apply for would be for 7 days and that would be 7 days to leave the country. I assume your multiple entry non-b visa has already expired. If not you could get another 90 day entry as long as you do it on or before enter before date on the visa. You only choice may be to go out for a single entry non-b visa, At most nearby locations their requirements are lower to get one than those for a multiple entry visa.
August 3, 201610 yr Author Thanks Joe. Yes my multiple entry non-b has already expired. To clarify, if I applied for a 7 day extension, I would have to leave the country regardless of whether the missing document appeared and we could process the visa renewal?

I am not sure what you have now. Do you have an extension you applied for at immigration here or a visa you applied for at an embassy or consulate. To get a new visa you will have to leave the country. If an extension at immigration they may not accept the extension application during the 7 days to leave the country.
