philcon
Hi I would like to kill two birds with one stone; I have to get a visa extension as I will be overstaying for three days. I also require a letter from immigration confirming my address for Bangkok bank. QUESTION: can I do this with one visit to Thai immigration? I am in Chaing Mai. Thanks for any response. CMKiwi
2 different things here..... visa extension 1990 baht and done in one day (May entail some waiting in a queue dependant on crowd at Promenada) Certificate of Residence will take 2 days and 500 baht (otherwise free if you wish to wait for several weeks/months). The guys to the left of Immigration at Promenada can help with this or if you are an American citizen then the Embassy can do this on the same day for US$50. Lots of info on this in the Immigration Topic or alternatively use the search function.
Somnambulist
I went for a Certificate of Residence yesterday at Promenada. G4T has moved upstairs. They are now next door to Big Camera. But there are still staff people downstairs and one of them cheerfully led me up to the new location.
