Pokemon players told to keep away military restricted areas while playing the game

 

 

BANGKOK: -- The government today warned the Pokemon Go game players to keep away from military restricted areas and important government buildings as the online game is now launched in Thailand and is becoming a hit.

 

The warning came from Gen Prawit Wongsuwan, the deputy prime minister in charge of national security.

 

He said although there was no report yet of troubles or accidents from game players, but he was considering asking the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology to talk to the licensee of the game contents in Thailand and seek its cooperation not to release Pokemon characters in militaty restricted areas and important government buildings for security reason.

 

Besides, he also warned game players while trying to catch Pokemon characters near military restricted areas.

 

True Corp, the game’s master licensee, was awarded right to manage the game’s content in Thailand.

 

On the launch of the game last week, True held a seven-day event “Gotta catch ’em all” at True shops starting 6pm last Saturday.

 

In Japan, it’s National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC) under the Cabinet Office has issued a nine-point warning full of illustrations on Twitter and Line, warning against potential trouble over the online game, the Japan Times reported.

 

The post, retweeted more than 15,000 times, asks people to protect their privacy while using the GPS-loaded, augmented-reality game, by registering “cool names that are different from real names” when playing it, and keeping away from “dangerous zones” while trying to catch Pokemon characters.

 

“In countries where the game has already been launched, various incidents have been reported, including users getting run over by a car, falling into a pond, getting bitten by a snake and getting robbed,” the NISC said.

 

It also cautioned users against heatstroke, as they are expected to walk around outdoors trying to catch Pokemon, and bring spare batteries with their smartphones to prepare for emergency communications with others.

It is definitely a threat to every nations national security.

If you do a bit of research you will find that Niantic, Inc. which is owned by Keyhole Inc. which was founded in 2001, is a software development company specializing in geospatial data visualization applications and was acquired by Google in 2004 for $35 million. Initially launched as a spin-off of Intrinsic Graphics, first round funding came from a Sony venture capital fund and others, additional capital came from an NVIDIA bundling deal, from the CIA's venture capital arm In-Q-Tel,[with the majority of In-Q-Tel' funds coming from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is both a combat support agency, under the United States Department of Defense, and an intelligence agency of the United States Intelligence Community, with the primary mission of collecting, analyzing, and distributing geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) in support of national security. NGA was known as the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) until 2003.

Take special note of the fact that the CIA was a major investor in this company.

Anything that the CIA is involved in I want no part of.

This is simply another example of the CIA using this so called game as a massive global surveillance system.

When Edward Snowden leaked the cables in regards to the US mass surveillance of US citizens and citizens in other countries the CIA along Google were already working on another version of global surveillance, and it's called Pokémon Go.

Make it seem like fun all the while bainwashing the masses and at the same time they have their much wanted global surveillance.
