Three more arrests in Prey Veng mob killing

Officials have arrested three more suspects in connection with Sunday night’s mob killing of Seng Rothy, 33, in Prey Veng province.

Rothy was beaten to death by villagers after an argument with three other men escalated. Rothy’s nine-month pregnant wife was also hospitalised after being injured in the melee.

Seng Ponlork, Peamro district police chief, said that one of the men arrested, whom he identified only as Virak, was the son of the Neak Leung village chief.
