hackjam
Water bill has trebled in the last few months, suspect it is a pool problem. Where should I start to look?
Jdietz
Suspicious new fountains randomly appearing in the yard? Swampy areas around the house? But yeah basically simply a matter of bisecting the problem, close isolation valves to the different sections and look at the water meter. If it stops spinning the problem is in that section. blackcab
For your water use to treble I suspect it's either a broken pipe or a crack in your pool. Hopefully the first.
Crossy
Step one, close the auto top-up valve. Watch the pool level and water meter. Isolate if it is the pool or somewhere else.
hackjam
Found the leak, was trench under overflow, could fit finger in hole. Cemented whole trench, last 2 water bills back to normal. Many thanks to all who contributed advise.
