BANGKOK, 10 August 2016 (NNT) – Thailand and Laos have been committed to maintaining both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Lao Foreign Affairs Minister Saleumxay Kommasith met with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at Government House during his official visit to Thailand.

The premier expressed his confidence that the new Lao foreign minister will play an important role in enhancing the dynamics of relationships between Thailand and Laos.

The Lao foreign minister extended blessings and greetings Lao Prime Minister Thonglun Sisulid to his Thai counterpart and congratulated on the results of last Sunday's charter referendum.

Mr. Saleumxay expressed his admiration for the Thai government's policy and confirmed the Lao government’s support for Thai reforms in accordance with the Roadmap.

He said that Thailand's peace and prosperity are critical to promote the Thai-Lao relationships. Thailand and Laos are working closely together to push forward the developments in regional connectivity, cross-border tourism, law enforcement, border demarcation, energy, labor as well as science and technology.

I thought that ASEAN covered all those bilateral and multilateral topics, so is this just an excuse to do a bit of PR for the referendum result ?

Thailand and Laos have been committed to maintaining both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Diplomatic code for 'nothing meaningful done but a lot of photo opportunities to show how hard we're working for our respective peoples'.

Bah humbug.

Winnie.

So when will Beer-Lao become  widely available in Thailand, at a competitive-price, then ? :whistling:
