Multi Entry Non-immigrant O Question

Featured Replies

Hi.I am hoping some one can help me with this question.I just recieved my Non-Imigrant O visa back from the Thai Consulate from New York.It gives me the start date of 14 November on the bottom of the visa it has a remark section. In the remarks it says extension of stay not permitted? Does this mean once my 90 days are up from the 14th of November{12 Feb} that I have to leave Thailand,or can I do a border run and get another 30 days.Thank you

That stamp just means you can not visit immigration and obtain a 30 day extension as can be done with the normal 60 day entry of a tourist visa. You can exit and return for a 30 day visa free entry under current rules or could exit and obtain a new visa and return under those conditions.

When you enter Thailand, you will get 90 days from your entry inside Thailand. You have up to Feb 12th to use that entry. The "extension of stay not permitted” is irrelevant. If you qualify based on retirement, marriage or business you are able to do the extension from the 90 day entry, even with that comment.
