I figure since I'm retired and have lived here for the past 18 months I would like to find court time and locals who can guide me in the right direction. I live in Phratumnak and want to have a daily match at 8 am vs paying a teacher for a workout.  

What are my best options as there is no Tennis Clubs like we have in USA.

You could try Fairtex on 2nd road. Though not exactly local to you, it's accessible on public transport (baht bus).

There is a tennis club (pattaya tennis international club) on the dark side, I do not know if it is any good.

The Inter Club is very good, just quite far away on the darkside.  

 

From Prathumnak coming, I'd recommend Siam Bay Shore, Marriott *, Siam Bay View, Dusit Thani, Centara Mirage *

* Only available to play with a member there.

 

I played a few times at Thepprasit Rd., what might be the closest courts for you.

 

After two weeks from you'll find a very nice group of players at Siam Bay View, Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6 pm. They'll accept only polite guys though.  The (outdated) website

 

It would be helpful if you could describe your skill level. 

 

Even if I know a lot of players here, I'm not sure if any of them wants to play at 8 am. 

PM me in case you are looking for a Thai knocking partner, maybe good as a teacher for beginners too. He might be able to play in early morning.

There is a Tennis court on Soi 5 Pratamnak Hill, always locked when i pass, but some one must use it as it looks in ok condition..
