Thanyaburi Mac
Visa On Arrival is $35, somewhat cheaper than paying in baht. Mac
IMA_FARANG
If you fly into Savannakhet you van get a visa on aeeival at the airport. As anothe poster said it is actually cheaper to have U.S. dollars to pay for iy than with Thai Baht. Alyhough it is not the subject it is also true of Vientianne. Both places are happy with new 20 dollae bills. and new bills mzt get you a alightlu better excgange rate. But if you ezpect change back expect to get it in Kip if at all. Thanyaburi Mac
I've done the VOA at the Lao side of the bridge across from Nong Khai perhaps 30 times, always paid in $$$, always received the change back in $$$. Heading up to Nong Khai today, crossing tomorrow, Monday, morning, expect the same. If I get the change back in Kip, will post here again.
