USA Notary in Thailand

Featured Replies

We need a notary but do not want to go to the US Embassy - at $50 per signature.  About 6 years ago an American attorney in Bangkok who helped us with a visa application did have an American notary stamp that he was able to keep active as he went back to the US often enough to keep it renewed.  We now need signatures notarized on several pages relating to sale of USA property but he is no longer here.

Does anyone know about someone who does have a USA notary stamp, anyplace in Thailand ?   We hope to avoid the US Embassy, it is not a happy or convenient alternative.

Thanx

I believe that you will find that the laws on Notary are very specific to location and person holding one in some US State can't legally use it when in Thailand.  Would anybody ever know? Probably not, but the Notary would.  Up to you and him if to do it if he agrees.  There have been a few other threads about this here on Thai Visa.
