BANGKOK: -- Just days after Krung Thai Bank expressed confidence in their ATMs in the wake of the GSB hacking case comes a new attempt to compromise customers.

A fake webpage of Krung Thai Bank appeared online - it purported to be from the bank and was designed to steal customers' username and password details, reported Daily News.

But the URL was not correct according to the bank's address. A warning was posted on the Facebook page of "Thaicert" yesterday along with the real address of the bank namely: www.ktbnetbank.com

Krung Thai expressed confidence in their ATMs this week after eastern European hackers stole 12 million from Government Savings Bank machines in the south and Bangkok leading to the shutdown of 3000 GSB ATMs nationwide.
