Phi Phi boat-free safe zones set to protect reefs from mass tourism

The boat-free safe swimming zones have marked off to protect tourists from boat accidents and to protect coral reefs in the national park.

 

PHUKET: -- Officials with local dive and tour operators have joined together to use 1.6 kilometres of rope with 800 floats to mark off areas in the Hat Nopparat Thara - Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park to prevent tour boats from directly accessing coral reefs in the park.

OBEC to prevent all types of cheating in assistant teacher exam

Former palace employee arrested in connection with alleged royal imposters

Kamonthat ‘Kim Eng’ Thanathornkhositjira was arrested Saturday morning in Bangkok. Two days later, police arrested her alleged accomplice, Thaworn Puangprathim.

 

BANGKOK — A suspected accomplice in the case of an alleged royal impostor was arrested on a charge of insulting the monarch, police said Tuesday.

 

Thaworn Puangprathim, 66, was accused of impersonating a royal palace official and helping the other suspect, Kamonthat “Kim Eng” Thanathornkhositjira, solicit donations for what they said were for members of the Royal Family.
