CHONBURI: -- Police have announced the arrest of a Taiwanese man and a Thai man after the discovery of more than 3,000 kilograms of compressed, dried ganja in a Chonburi warehouse.

The bust was a joint operation with border security, local police and soldiers and led to the arrest of Chee Jae San and Supornchai Chukaew who was looking after the godown in Bor Thong district of the eastern province.

The drugs came into Thailand from Laos and were on their way to a third country that was not named.

A total of 3,155 kilos of drugs were found.

Authorities are expanding the case to find others behind the scenes.

The Taiwanese man had the cover of a legitimate business to shield his drugs operation, said police.

The Taiwanese made the headline.....and the Thai only rated a mention......bloody foreigners!

his legit business was set up back in 2007 (Glove manufacturing) as a front for this purpose,

so it took them 9 years to finally catch him as surely this was not his first shipment.

Pot,   big deal.

About time this was made legal all over the world.

all that police time and effort over pot. ( is it worth it ? )
