BANGKOK: -- The Military Court in Petchaburi province on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of the sixth suspect allegedly involved in the deadly bomb explosions in Hua Hin on August 11-12 which left two people dead and about 25 injured, many of them tourists.

If these are the guys that did, great lock em up. I just hope that they have the right people and that this is not an attempt simply to win back tourist, because that would irresponsible.

maybe extra special powers, like detention on suspicion, might be considered in cases involving terrorism.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the apprehending of suspects!

17 arrest warrants were issued after the Erawan Shrine bombing last year, yet only two suspects are in custody (awaiting trial).

My thought exactly. Six arrest warrants out now, and how many of those actually in custody?  One (the guy the police originally let go and flew to CM), or none??? I've lost track.  They're great at issuing warrants, and not so great at actually finding those who actually committed the crimes.

Was reminded likewise the other day in the articles about Sondhi being jailed for financial fraud after many, many years of court proceedings. In those articles, they also mentioned that the police also had never been able to find those who attempted to assassinate him some years back. And many many more high-profile cases just like that.

All these arrest warrants sounds like "Big smoke no fire to me".
