BANGKOK: -- The Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO) is in the process of enforcing a verdict of the Supreme Court ordering Mr Kamphol Tansatja, owner of Suan Nongnut park in Chon Buri to leave his 586-rai estate in Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima after it was ascertained that he has no right to own the Sor Por Kor land.

ALRO secretary-general Sansern Atchutamanat disclosed that the Supreme Court, on September, upheld the lower court’s verdict evicting Mr Kamphol from his 586-rai estate which is located on Sor Por Kor land that he has no right to own or occupy.

He said ALRO officials were in the process of obtaining a copy of the Supreme Court’s verdict to be sent to authorities concerned to implement the eviction.

Meanwhile, Mr Thanu Meesaeng-ngern, an inspector of the Ministry of Agriculture, said during a recent inspection trip to Wang Nam Khieu district, Nakhon Ratchasima, it was found out that the owner of a resort, Krathomhin Nanthapak, had illegally occupied over 100 rai of Sor Por Land which were purchased from five farmers who have ownership rights to the land.

they need to charge and jail those involved as well as seizing their assets, these people need to be made to pay for their criminal activity. So much land in Thailand is held illegally by people that think they are untouchable, way past time they were all rounded up and at least the current govt is doing just that lets hope it continues.
