Non B Visa Application But Maybe Not Working. Problem?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm a 32 yo Australian, who's "affected" by the new visa changes. Next month I'll be travelling to Oz and will be applying for a non-B visa, sponsored by a friend who has a company here. He is offering me employment, but due to various factors I may or may not end up working with him. My question is, if I get the non-B with his assistance, but ultimately don't end up working for him, (therefore no work permit), will this be a problem and could there be repercussions for the company sponsoring me?

Also, can anyone advise of the specific requirements for applying for the NON B visa in Melbourne? I'm contacting the Consulate General, but would also appreciate any other advice available, from experience am aware of the "rubbery facts" that float around and would be better to be as prepared as possible.

Thanks guys,

curly

The company docs of the firm who is looking to hire you along with the invite letter.
