It was the first time Thailand's health ministry has confirmed the number of Zika cases this year. The announcement comes a day after health experts called on Thailand to be more transparent in reporting the Zika threat to the public after health officials played down risks from rising infections of the mosquito-borne virus. It does seem that some news just does not tell the truth, which makes anything hardly believable. In all probability thousands have been affected and were not diagnosed with zika as the symptoms are very similar to other mosquito borne viruses. As the symptoms are mild many would not have sought medical assistance where a blood test is required to positively identify the virus. It may well be that in a few months time when babies with deformities are being born that the true size of the outbreak is known (heaven forbid). We're talking about Thailand and if it spreads and increases to a great extent you don't think tourists might think twice especially as govts around the world issue travel advisories.
