20 new people in Thailand found infected with Zika virus weekly

  

BANGKOK, 15 September 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health has revealed that on average, 20 new Zika infections are reported in Thailand each week. 

Permanent Secretary for Public Health Dr. Sophon Mekthon said even though the Zika outbreak has not expanded to other parts of the country, it is important for everyone to ensure mosquito breeding habitats are destroyed. 

Out of 33 infected pregnant women, eight have given birth to healthy babies. The remaining 25 women remain under close medical attention. Dr. Sophon has urged all provinces to do their best to prevent a Zika outbreak. 

Provincial authorities are expected to take proactive measures to identify infected patients, protect pregnant women, destroy Aedes mosquito breeding habitats and assist Zika patients.

In  view of the facts that (1) the vast majority of infected people have no symptoms, (2) the virus can be spread by male-female sexual contact, (3) Aedes  mosquitoes can fly at least 800 meters from their hatching habitat, (4)  the Ministry is relying the higgledly-piggledy identification of new cases, and (5) this is the rainy season with abundant ideal mosquito habitats all over the place, I think that it is probably safer to assume that the Zika virus is now endemic in Thailand.

Zika virus has been around for ages. Never any real problem. This new hysteria in the N.E. of Brazil was an OP ED for the globalists. The fact being that any and all birth defects from ZIKA were caused by the GMO mosquitos that were manufactured to kill the mosquito population off but and unintended by product was that the recessive gene activity in the mosquito population there in Brazil was transferred into humans! There were news reports of it in Chiang Mai months ago. The government sprayed/fogged in Sansai already (where they never used to) due to some cases of that.

It's not just the mosquito.

• Zika can be passed through sex from a person who has Zika to his or her sex partners.
• Sex includes vaginal, anal, oral sex, and the sharing of sex toys.
• Zika can be passed through sex, even if the person does not have symptoms at the time.
• It can be passed from a person with Zika before their symptoms start, while they have symptoms, and after their symptoms end.

Though not well documented, the virus may also be passed by a person who carries the virus but never develops symptoms.

Studies are underway to find out how long Zika stays in the semen and vaginal fluids of people who have Zika, and how long it can be passed to sex partners.

 Whether it becomes an outbreak or not is incidental. Zika is less of a problem than a slight cold as most people dont even know they've got it.

 

 It amuses me what all the fuss is about - now dengue fever that is more of a problem and potentially fatal. Forget about  zika and work on eradicating dengue - not with larvicides that cause microcephaly but through eliminating breeding grounds by destroying them!!

All we need now is the emergence of a new super mosquito hi-bred that can fly further breed faster and sting harder. I fully concur with your last sentence but I am sure that TAT disagrees with us. The Sh*t/Zika has hit the fan.
