Strange.

For your flight time their schedule is not convenient (6:00h, 9:00h).

6:00h is too early, 9:00h too late (risky).

Is it an international flight or domestic?

The other coach goes from Jomtien bus station on the corner of Thappraya Rd. and Theprasit rd. ("down the hill to Jomtien", hard to miss).

Bus goes every hour. 8h departure recommended.

With little baggage you can use the Baht bus to get there.

while the Airport Bus leaving from the corner Thapraya / Thepprasit is excellent and comfortable, I would recommend to rather take the 7 am Bus, as it usually takes 2 hours even without any traffic jams.

Make sure to buy the ticket the evening before, as those early Buses are almost always fully booked very early, even in low season. Have seen scores of people panicking when they realized they would not make it on their flight unless they would go by Taxi, after being told the next seat available is in 2 hrs or so....
